Bead For Life

BeadforLife eradicates extreme poverty by creating bridges of understanding between impoverished Africans and concerned world citizens. Ugandan women turn colorful recycled paper into beautiful beads, and people who care open their hearts, homes and communities to buy and sell the beads.

The beads thus become income, food, medicine, school fees and hope. It is a small miracle that enriches us all.

On August 19th, in the summer splendor of Ladd’s Addition Circle, you are invited to join others in the community for a Bead party – An opportunity to buy beautiful, handmade jewelery; support the women behind Bead For Life; and relax with refreshments, music and the company of friends.  Everyone is welcome.

What: Bead for Life Bead Party
Where: 1943 SE Elliott Ave – At Ladd’s Addition Circle
When: Thursday August 19th , 5:30-8:30
Details: The story of Bead for Life will be presented at six o’clock.

See you there!
